Whenever someone asks about my favorite song, this is the one I always mention.
She took the stage with sweet tones and indie-pop charm that had the whole crowd going wild. Her music style fit so perfect to the venue as well as the vibes around Kilby Block Party. I can only describe some of this but the Indie vibes was all about authenticity, going against the mainstream. I got a bit late for this one, I was actually shooting another band but luckily the security people let me in to the pit to take photos of her. I've never heard of her except for her bass player which I know she plays for another Utah band as well. Choosing to shoot them was a great experience. She has a sweet and tender voice. As I photographed her, I loved how her clothes were. So pretty that it was perfect for the photos I took. I wish I could have taken some portraits of her and her band but I love that I was able to grab photos of her and that turned out good. Her music is tender, I love listening to hers because it makes me feel calm. One of the most authentic moments I enjoyed from her performance was when she shared a bit of her background. How she is from Provo, UT, went to BYU and even gave a remark to everyone saying "Go Cougs" shoutout. What hit even harder was her openess to choose music after she graduated from BYU. I am sure that moment wasn't about school pride but about choosing what you love, and I bet resonated with many people in the crowd. The invitation really is for anyone out there, despite your background, listen to her music as I have recently. I linked my favorite of her songs in this article to make sure you get a tease of how amazing she is and how I want so bad to go to her future performances here in Utah.

Amazing pics!! She’s lucky to have you around 🫶📸
