Where Soul Meets Altitude: Zinadelphia’s Salt Lake Serenade

It kills me every time

About six months ago, Zinadelphia took the stage at Kilby Court, an intimate venue in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a cold winter night, and the venue no larger than a garage offered a special kind of charm. Despite low-key vibe, the energy inside was electric. The crowd may have been small, but the connection to the music was powerful and nothing like ever seen. From the very start, Zinadelphia had a track playing before any performance started, giving a tease to the crowd to show what was coming. As she took the stage, the lights, the band, and the lead singer all aligned, locked into the same electrifying energy. Songs like Mirrorball, Advice From Ray and Waterfall, show serenity, vulnerability and nostalgia. Unlike the usual chaos of loud crowds from other popular artists, Zinadelphia brought something different. An Atmosphere where the crowd didn't overpower her. Her style transports you to a time when men and women dressed with intention and elegance. It reflects a deeper connection to an era where music was built on real instruments, authentic voices and a genuine love for what you do. As a photographer, I love seeing the atmosphere with more than just the crowd's. I am present as the crowd and the artist, leading to my best creative-self. Through my lens I am able to view the artist through a cloud of people or a close-up, it all creates art. An intimate venue means that there is no pit for photography access. It means you sneak in through the crowd to get to the next stage which is art. I only listened to Zinadelphia days before being approved to the event and inmediately loved her unique style. I was excited because I get to do the two things I love the most which is enjoy live performances and take photos. I would recommend to anyone to pay for her live performances, she is breathtaking as I would go again as a photographer or to enjoy her show with my eyes closed while I imagine defeating the world.
